Building Permit Instructions

***Porter Township Mandates the Pennsylvania UCC Building Code***

 

All applications and building plans must be reviewed before the permits are issued. This process may take 2 to 4 weeks and the applicant will be notified when the permit is ready. At the time the permit is issued the building permit fee must be submitted payable to Porter Township.

 

No job shall be started without a valid building permit!

 

BUILDING PERMIT CHECKLIST:

 

ü Septic permit

 

ü Zoning permit

 

ü Workman’s’ Comp Information Form or Contractor’s proof of insurance

 

ü Plot Plan

 

ü 2 complete sets of building plans (including applicable plans & specifications)

 

ü Building sub-code with plan

 

ü Electrical sub-code with plan

 

ü Plumbing sub-code with plan

 

ü Mechanical sub-code with plan
